[laughter] his list of achievements in politics, his involvement in lifelong learning, his expertise in national security matters, his business interest, his endeavors, the dozens of books he has written, the list goes on and on. allow me to presume that all of us here are well acquainted with the important milestones in the light of newt gingrich. because i would like to focus on the future in some part. what i sincerely hope is that it's place in it as it relates to ideas is heard. let me explain. it is no secret to anyone here that the party of abraham lincoln and ronald reagan took a beating three weeks ago. republicrepublic ans lost the battle for the white house and the house and senate.
